About Viola FBLA

What is FBLA?

Future Business Leaders of America, Inc. (FBLA) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members nationwide prepare for careers in business.

What does FBLA do?

FBLA teaches members how to lead and participate in group discussions by engaging in practical problem solving and decision-making activities. FBLA members learn the value of competition through directed competitive events.

FBLA Mission Statement

FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.

FBLA Goals

Develop competent, aggressive business leadership.
Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
Create more interest in and understanding of the American business enterprise system.
Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community.
Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.
Encourage and practice efficient money management.
Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty.
Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.
Facilitate the transition from school to work.

A Message from Mr. Thrasher, Viola FBLA Chapter Advisor

I would like to welcome you to the Viola High School FBLA website. I have had the privilege to be the Viola High School FBLA adviser for over 10 years, and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to work with our FBLA students. We have a full year ahead of us, which will include two District Leadership Conferences, the State Leadership Conference, community service, and the National Leadership Conference. I want to thank you in advance for your support of our FBLA students as they become successful members of our community.

January 31, 2025:  Spring Leadership Conference at ASU-Mountain Home
April 7 - 8, 2025:  State Leadership Conference in Little Rock, AR
June 29 - July 2, 2025: National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA

Attendance

16 members attended the October 2nd, 2024 Fall Leadership Conference in Mountain Home, AR.

16 members attended the January 31st, 2025 Spring Leadership Conference in Mountain Home, AR.

12 members attended the April 29th-30th, 2024 State Leadership Conference in Little Rock, AR.

3 members attended the June 28th-July 3rd, 2024 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL.
