What is FBLA?

FBLA (or Future Business Leaders of America) is an organization that develops high school students across the nation by teaching them vital business skills. FBLA does this by allowing students to compete in various business-related competitions and hosting educational programs. 

Recent Competitions

Every year, FBLA hosts competitions at the District, State, and National levels. Viola FBLA has been actively attending the District and State level conferences for decades. 2024 is the first year since 2013 that we qualified for the National competition in Orlando, Florida. 2024 State Leadership Conference

In 2024, we attended the State Leadership Conference in Little Rock, AR. 7 of our 11 current members placed in the top 7 in their respective competitions, allowing us the exciting opportunity to compete at the National Level. This broke another school FBLA record for most students to qualify for the NLC in a single year.​

2024 National Leadership Conference

In 2024, we attended the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL. None of our 3 members who competed placed in their competitions. While we didn't place, we were still able to have the experience at the NLC that many students of Viola FBLA past have not been able to. We explored the massive Expo Hall where there was pin trading, colleges, and the FBLA NLC shop. We were also able to attend FBLA night at Universal Studios.

2024-2025 District Fall Conference

In 2024, we attended the District VI Fall Conference in Mountain Home, AR. At this conference, our 16 members were introduced to the new FBLA year as well as playing games and learning important information. Our local officer team for the new year was also installed. Our own Joey Harber got second place in the FBLA trivia game out of about 300 other students playing.

About Viola FBLA Chapter

Viola FBLA is based out of Viola High School in Viola, AR. The business teacher, Kevin Thrasher, advises our Chapter. Our group competes at every competition possible. This is the first year that Viola FBLA has been named a completor of Champion Chapter Summer Starter! We are well on our way to Gold Status, gaining recognition on the district, state, and national level.
